Ingredients & Directions


1/2 c Walnuts; chopped
1 pk Dates; chopped in small
-pieces
3 Eggs; separated
6 tb Coarse bread crumbs
1 ts (heaping) baking powder
1 1/4 c Sugar

Mix all ingredients together with egg yolks. Beat egg whites stiffly; fold
into mixture. Pour into buttered 9×9 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree oven —
for 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream over ice cream. This is an old,
old recipe.
